Is DriveLink legit?
You should not take our word for it, and this page is not going to ask you to. Here is who we are, exactly where your money sits, and how to check all of it independently.
If you are reading this, someone has probably suggested using DriveLink for a car deal, or you found us while looking for a way to pay for one safely. Either way you are about to consider sending money to a company you had not heard of this morning. That deserves a real answer rather than a marketing page.
Who we are
DriveLink LLC is a limited liability company registered in New Jersey. We run a marketplace for private-party vehicle sales with escrow built into every deal. You can list a car with us, or bring a car you found anywhere else and use us for the payment alone. Either way the mechanism is the same: buyer and seller agree a deal, we hold the money, the handover happens, and we release the funds to the seller.
We are a new company, formed this year. We are not going to pretend to a history we do not have, and you should weigh that. What we can offer instead of a long track record is a mechanism that is public, specific, and checkable.
Where your money actually sits
This is the question that matters and it deserves a direct answer.
- Payments are processed and held through Stripe, a regulated payment processor, not in a DriveLink bank account we can spend from.
- The seller is paid by transfer, and that transfer is triggered by one of two things: the buyer confirming they have the vehicle, or the seller entering a six-digit handover code that only the buyer holds.
- Nothing releases automatically on a silent buyer. If a buyer stops responding, the transaction escalates to manual review rather than paying out by default.
- Larger transactions require identity verification of the buyer through Stripe Identity.
- Bank-funded payments have a settlement hold before release, because a bank debit can be returned for a period after it appears to have cleared.
How to check us out — and any escrow service
Apply all of this to us. If we fail any of it, do not use us.
- Did you arrive here on your own? If a link to any escrow site was sent to you by the person you are transacting with, that is the single largest warning sign in private vehicle sales. Type the address yourself. If a seller sent you here, go find us independently before doing anything.
- Check the company registration. New Jersey publishes a business entity search. Look up the name yourself rather than trusting a registration number we give you.
- Check the domain age. A WHOIS lookup shows when a domain was registered. Fake escrow sites are typically weeks old. Ours is not new, but check rather than believe.
- Look at how payments are taken. We process cards and bank payments through Stripe. We will never ask you to wire funds to a personal account, and we do not accept cryptocurrency. Any message claiming to be from us that asks for either is fraudulent — report it to us at support@drivelink.deals.
- Check the fee is stated before you commit. Ours is 1% of the sale price, stated on the site rather than revealed at the end.
- Check that the release conditions are written down. Ours are on this page and on our safety page. A service that will not tell you what triggers release is not one to use.
Because fake escrow sites frequently clone real ones, confirm the domain in your address bar reads exactly drivelink.deals. Similar addresses with an extra character, a hyphen, or a different ending are not us. We only ever send email from that domain.
What we do not do
Being clear about the limits is part of being checkable:
- We do not inspect vehicles. Escrow protects you from not receiving a car. It does not protect you from receiving a disappointing one. Pay for an independent pre-purchase inspection.
- We do not audit titles. We do not verify lien status, title brands, or ownership history. Buy a vehicle history report yourself and check the title against the seller's ID at the handover.
- We are not a bank and we do not lend, finance, or insure.
- We do not guarantee a sale price is fair. We do surface AI-generated pricing insights to help you judge whether a price is reasonable, but they are an input to your decision, not a valuation or an appraisal. The final judgment is yours.
- We cannot recover money sent outside our platform. If you wire funds directly to a seller, we have no visibility and no ability to help.

Email support@drivelink.deals and ask anything on this list. If we are evasive about any of it, that tells you something.
- Who holds the funds during a transaction and under what arrangement?
- What exactly triggers release to the seller?
- What happens if the buyer never confirms?
- What happens if the car is not as described?
- What is your legal entity name and state of registration?

De cualquier forma, estás por considerar enviar dinero a una empresa de la que no habías oído hablar esta mañana. Eso merece una respuesta real y no una página de marketing.
Quiénes somos
DriveLink LLC es una sociedad de responsabilidad limitada registrada en Nueva Jersey. Operamos un mercado para ventas privadas de vehículos con garantía (escrow) incorporada en cada trato. Puedes publicar un auto con nosotros, o traer un auto que encontraste en cualquier otro lugar y usar nuestro servicio solo para el pago. De cualquier forma, el mecanismo es el mismo: comprador y vendedor acuerdan un trato, nosotros retenemos el dinero, ocurre la entrega, y liberamos los fondos al vendedor.
Somos una empresa nueva, formada este año. No vamos a fingir una trayectoria que no tenemos, y deberías tomar eso en cuenta. Lo que podemos ofrecer en lugar de un historial largo es un mecanismo que es público, específico, y verificable.
Dónde está realmente tu dinero
Esta es la pregunta que importa y merece una respuesta directa.
- Los pagos se procesan y se retienen a través de Stripe, un procesador de pagos regulado, no en una cuenta bancaria de DriveLink de la que podamos disponer.
- Al vendedor se le paga por transferencia, y esa transferencia se activa por una de dos cosas: que el comprador confirme que tiene el vehículo, o que el vendedor ingrese un código de entrega de seis dígitos que solo tiene el comprador.
- Nada se libera automáticamente si el comprador no responde. Si un comprador deja de responder, la transacción pasa a revisión manual en vez de pagarse por defecto.
- Las transacciones más grandes requieren verificación de identidad del comprador a través de Stripe Identity.
- Los pagos financiados por banco tienen una retención de liquidación antes de liberarse, porque un débito bancario se puede revertir durante un período después de que parece haberse acreditado.
Cómo verificarnos a nosotros — y a cualquier servicio de garantía
Aplica todo esto con nosotros. Si fallamos en algo de esto, no nos uses.
- ¿Llegaste aquí por tu cuenta? Si alguien con quien estás negociando te envió un enlace a cualquier sitio de garantía, esa es la señal de advertencia más grande en las ventas privadas de vehículos. Escribe la dirección tú mismo. Si un vendedor te envió aquí, búscanos de forma independiente antes de hacer cualquier otra cosa.
- Verifica el registro de la empresa. Nueva Jersey publica una búsqueda de entidades comerciales. Busca el nombre tú mismo en vez de confiar en un número de registro que te demos nosotros.
- Verifica la antigüedad del dominio. Una búsqueda WHOIS muestra cuándo se registró un dominio. Los sitios de garantía falsos suelen tener semanas de antigüedad. El nuestro no es nuevo, pero verifícalo en vez de creerlo.
- Fíjate en cómo se reciben los pagos. Procesamos tarjetas y pagos bancarios a través de Stripe. Nunca te pediremos que transfieras fondos a una cuenta personal, y no aceptamos criptomonedas. Cualquier mensaje que diga ser nuestro y pida cualquiera de las dos cosas es fraudulento — repórtanoslo a support@drivelink.deals.
- Verifica que la tarifa esté indicada antes de comprometerte. La nuestra es 1% del precio de venta, indicada en el sitio y no revelada al final.
- Verifica que las condiciones de liberación estén por escrito. Las nuestras están en esta página y en nuestra página de seguridad. Un servicio que no te diga qué activa la liberación no es uno para usar.
Como los sitios de garantía falsos frecuentemente clonan sitios reales, confirma que el dominio en tu barra de direcciones diga exactamente drivelink.deals. Direcciones similares con un carácter extra, un guión, o una terminación distinta no somos nosotros. Solo enviamos correos desde ese dominio.
Lo que no hacemos
Ser claros sobre nuestros límites es parte de ser verificables:
- No inspeccionamos vehículos. La garantía te protege de no recibir un auto. No te protege de recibir uno decepcionante. Paga por una inspección independiente previa a la compra.
- No auditamos títulos. No verificamos gravámenes, marcas del título, ni historial de propiedad. Compra tú mismo un reporte de historial del vehículo y verifica el título contra la identificación del vendedor en la entrega.
- No somos un banco y no prestamos, financiamos, ni aseguramos.
- No garantizamos que un precio de venta sea justo. Sí mostramos información de precios generada por IA para ayudarte a juzgar si un precio es razonable, pero es un dato para tu decisión, no una tasación ni una valoración. El juicio final es tuyo.
- No podemos recuperar dinero enviado fuera de nuestra plataforma. Si le transfieres fondos directamente a un vendedor, no tenemos visibilidad ni forma de ayudar.
Preguntas razonables para hacernos
Escribe a support@drivelink.deals y pregunta cualquier cosa de esta lista. Si somos evasivos sobre algo de esto, eso te dice algo.
- ¿Quién retiene los fondos durante una transacción y bajo qué mecanismo?
- ¿Qué activa exactamente la liberación al vendedor?
- ¿Qué pasa si el comprador nunca confirma?
- ¿Qué pasa si el auto no es como se describió?
- ¿Cuál es el nombre de su entidad legal y en qué estado están registrados?
Dónde encaja DriveLink
DriveLink es un mercado para ventas privadas de vehículos con garantía (escrow) en cada trato. Puedes publicar un auto con nosotros gratis, o traer un auto que encontraste en cualquier lugar y usar nuestro servicio solo para el pago.
